Materials
Four materials, and what each one asks of you
The Telena lineup runs on four surfaces, and they behave differently in the rain, in a bag search and after a year of use. We list the one a piece is made from on every product page, in the maker's own word for it.
Vegan leather is the one most of the lineup uses. It wipes clean with a damp cloth, keeps a soft grain and does not need conditioner. Nylon is lighter and packs flat. Quilted fabric adds padding for a laptop or a bottle. Clear PVC exists for one reason, which is being seen through at a gate.

Measured, not estimated
How long the straps actually run
Strap length decides where a bag sits, and it is the number most shops bury. We read it off every piece in the range that publishes one and put the range in a table.
The table gives total strap length. The drop, which is what decides where the bag sits, is roughly half of it. About 22 inches of drop puts a small bag at the hip on most adults, under 18 puts it at the ribs, and past 26 the bag starts to swing.

The clear bag question
Arenas publish a size, not an opinion. The widely used limit is 12 by 6 by 12 inches for a clear bag, plus one small non-clear bag no larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches.
Every clear piece we make is cut to sit inside that box, and the guide lists the measured size of each one next to the rule it has to clear.

About Telena
Since 2022, one bag at a time
Telena started in 2022 with a sling bag and a complaint. The strap on the bag we were carrying slipped every time we walked upstairs, and the only pocket that held a phone was the one you had to take the bag off to reach. We built the first piece to fix those two things, and the shape of the lineup has come from the same habit since.
The people behind Telena carry the samples for a month before anything is finished. That is not a slogan about testing. It is the reason the front pocket on the small crossbody opens towards the body rather than away from it, and why the wide woven strap on the sling is stitched flat at the shoulder instead of rolled.
We make women's bags in vegan leather, nylon, quilted fabric and clear PVC. Vegan leather carries most of the range because it takes rain, wipes clean and keeps a soft grain without conditioner. The lining is where the work hides: card slots sized for a card rather than for a photograph of one, a zip pocket on the back panel that sits against you, and a bottle pocket cut tall enough that the bottle does not lean.
The Telena edit is deliberately narrow in shape and wide in colour. There are eight ways to carry a bag here and not eighty, because a bag that does one carry well beats a bag that does three carries badly. Inside each shape you get the colours women actually buy. Beige, brown and black outnumber everything else on this site, and the quieter greens and blues stay in smaller runs.
Prices sit where they sit because of the material and the hardware, not because of a name. Nothing here needs a payment plan. The lowest piece in the collection is a card wallet, the highest is a travel set, and most of what we sell lands between those two closer to the bottom than the top.
What Telena does not do is worth saying out loud. We do not make luggage, we do not make men's briefcases, and we do not claim leather when the material is polyurethane. If a bag has no laptop sleeve we say so on its page, and if the maker publishes no measurement for a piece we leave the row empty rather than filling it with a guess.
Names on this site are ours. A shop headline has to carry every word a buyer might type, so it ends up naming the same bag four ways in one line. The test a bag has to pass at Telena is dull and it works: carry it for a week with your own things in it. Most failures show up by day three. The zip pull that catches a sleeve, the strap that slips a notch under weight, the pocket that swallows a card sideways. None of that shows in a photograph. The photographs on this site are of the bag, and the writing is about living with it.
The Telena way with a new shape is slow. A body gets one colour, then three, then the strap changes, then it either earns a place in the lineup or it goes. That is why several pieces here exist in a dozen colours and others in one.

Where does the order actually happen?
At our retail partner. The button on each product page opens the bag there, and payment, delivery and returns are handled under their terms.
Are these bags real leather?
No. Most of the range is vegan leather, which is polyurethane over a fabric backing. The rest is nylon, quilted fabric or clear PVC. Each product page names the surface.
Will a Telena clear bag get me through a stadium gate?
Our clear pieces are cut to sit inside the widely used 12 by 6 by 12 inch limit, and the gate guide lists the measured size of each one. Venues set their own rules, so check the one you are going to.
How current are the prices?
They come from a scheduled update, and the date of the last one is printed on the price page. Between updates a price can move.
Why do some pages show no rating?
Because that piece has no rating yet. We print the number when it exists and leave the line out when it does not, rather than showing an average borrowed from a different bag.
Do you take returns?
Returns run through the retail partner where the order is placed, under their policy. We do not hold stock or process payments ourselves.
